Training offerings.
Training includes certificate preparation, flight reviews, proficiency work, custom programs and eligible international students.
Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)
The Private Pilot Certificate is the starting point for most pilots. It allows you to fly for personal use, carry passengers, travel, and rent aircraft, but it does not generally allow you to be paid to fly.
Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL)
The Commercial Pilot Certificate is the next step for pilots who want to fly professionally or simply train to a higher standard. A Commercial Certificate permits compensation for certain flying activities, but it does not by itself authorize an operator to conduct charter or air-taxi service.
Flight Instructor Certificate
Preparation for pilots who want to teach and build professional flying experience. The club fleet is not approved for intentional spins, so hands-on spin training must be completed elsewhere; I can help point you toward an appropriate option.
Flight Reviews
Most certificated pilots need a Flight Review every 24 calendar months unless another qualifying activity satisfies the requirement. The regulatory minimum is one hour of ground and one hour of flight, but the review should also address what has changed in your flying, skills, rules, airspace and mission.
Rusty-pilot and proficiency training
If you've been away from flying, we'll start with how long it's been, what you used to fly, and what you want to fly now. The goal is to get you comfortable and proficient again, not just complete the minimum required time.
Custom training programs
Training can be adjusted around your work schedule, timeline, and goals, including accelerated training or planning several certificates in sequence. The starting point is a conversation about your timeline, budget and goal.
International students
I maintain my own TSA Flight Training Security Program account so eligible international students can associate their training directly with me. I do not sponsor or advise on visas or immigration status; those matters must be handled independently before training approval.
Training should fit what you're trying to do.
A student building toward a professional career and a pilot who wants to fly family trips may need the same certificate but not the same emphasis. The syllabus can be structured without being rigid.
